Frequently Asked Questions

If you still have a question after reading through these FAQs, please reach out directly!

  • Beautifully You Counseling is an out-of-network provider, which means we do not work or communicate with your insurance company, but you can use out-of-network insurance benefits to cover sessions!

We can also charge HSA and FSA cards. Ask about this option if you have more questions!

  • Some insurance companies provide out-of-network benefits. This means you may have a certain amount of sessions reimbursed after you initially pay the full amount and then submit necessary paperwork! You would need to contact your insurance company and speak to them directly about these specific benefits for your plan.

See below for steps to follow in contacting your insurance company:

Step 1: Call your Insurance Customer Service Line (this is normally on the back of your insurance card). Ask to speak to the benefits department.

Step 2: Ask the following questions:

-What are my out-of-network benefits for mental health services?

-Are my benefits different for Telehealth than in-person services?

-Is my coverage dependent on a diagnosis? (Are certain diagnostic codes covered but others are not?)

-Do I have a deductible that needs to be met before services are covered? (Do I have to pay a certain amount out-of-pocket before insurance will start covering services?)

-What is the process for submitting materials for reimbursement? And is there a processing time? (How long before I should expect my reimbursement check?)

  • Most insurance companies will require a Superbill, which is a document explaining the services offered and the amount you paid out-of-pocket. If your insurance company needs other paperwork, we are always happy to work with my clients to provide what they need to maximize their benefits!

  • We believe care should be accessible for everyone, so we have a certain number of sliding scale spots that we offer to those that need a reduced fee and would not be able to access care affordably otherwise. Please reach out if you are interested in this option!

  • Beautifully You Counseling is committed to making care accessible and happily partnered with Project Heal. We also offer reduced fees for marginalized communities such as BIPOC, AAPI, and LGBTQIA+ folks. We are committed to providing gender-affirming care and helping those seeking affirming surgery make peace with their body image.

If you identify with any of these communities, reach out for more details!
